Obituary of Stevie Rae Brockett

Age 25, of Arlington Heights, Illinois and formerly of Bloomington and Braidwood, passed from this life, unexpectedly, Saturday morning, May 18, 2024.

Stevie was born in Joliet on July 21, 1998.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Elizabeth Hill  & Kevin Ley; her father and step-mother, James & Mary Brockett; sisters, Raeanna Hill, Savannah Ley, and Dawn Simmons; brother, Brandon Brockett; step-sister, Stevie Conklin; two nieces, several aunts, uncles, cousins and good friend Edward Chasey Fernandez.

Stevie is preceded in death by her grandparents on both sides and her dog, Buddy.

Stevie was employed at the Goodwill Store in Arlington Heights. Her hobbies included photography, writing, and gaming. From a young age she had a love for Japan and had dreamed of moving there one day.

All friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Stevie Rae Brockett on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black (at Essington) Rd., Joliet. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.
