Mary Ann Tueth

Age 82 of Shorewood, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Rose M. (nee Wickenhauser) and Howard D. Tueth. She was born on September 17, 1941 in Alton, Illinois, and was a graduate of Marquette High School. After High School, she earned a degree from St. John's Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri. Mary Ann had a gift for serving others and spent the greater part of her career at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where she made a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues alike.

Mary Ann was a passionate and devout Catholic. She attended St. Gabriel’s Church in St. Louis and locally at Holy Family in Shorewood. She had a love of traveling and made her way all over the world. When Mary Ann wasn’t working or traveling, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family, volunteering at church, and tutoring children. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Above all, Mary Ann was a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her two sisters, Ellie Meyer and Margaret (Jerry) Partlow; nieces and nephews, Terri (Elbert) Reniva, Jeff (Colette) Meyer, Karen (Chris McDonough) Burmeister, Jeff Partlow, Mark Partlow, Matt (Shannon) Partlow, Jonathan Partlow and Jennifer Lipscomb; and many great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Tueth; long-time dear friend, Nancy Harbaugh; brother-in-laws, Leroy Blunt and Hal Meyer, and nephew-in-law, Matt Burmeister.

A private memorial service and interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her name may be directed to the charity of your choice.
