Barb was a good Mom. She always had her kids' best interests at heart and was a great partner for me as a teacher at Union School. Joan, Tony, and Kathy, I know you will miss your Mom dearly. I am pretty sure Barb was a student of my Grandmother (Jane Erickson) at Upper Ridge School back when farm families sent their kids to one-room country schoolhouses. I remember my Grandmother speaking fondly of all the Murphy kids.
