Obituary of Terrance Allen Tambling
Terrance “Terry” Allen Tambling, age 74, of Morris, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Park Pointe Healthcare and Rehab Center in Morris with his family by his side. Terry was born on March 20, 1950, in Streator, IL to the late Lyle and Norma (Olson) Tambling. He grew up farming with his dad and was a graduate of Dwight High School. Terry married Carrie Barker on July 28, 1973, in Gardner, IL.
Terry spent most of his career driving a truck, retiring from Hoffman Transportation after 30 years of dedicated service. He loved NASCAR, golfing, and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Carrie (Barker); his daughters, Nicole (Scott) Logan, Rachel (Mark) Kemple, and Linsay Tambling; grandchildren, Carli Logan, Sam (Taylor) Logan, Zackary (Samantha) Logan, Erin Logan, Seth Kemple, Hannah Kemple, Ethan Kemple, and Grace Kemple; great-grandchildren, Ritter Logan, Lexi Logan, Roman Logan, and Ansley Hibbett; sisters, Peggy Tambling, Pam Latta, Patti Rosenbaum, Phyllis Tambling, and Polly Hoffman; brothers, Mike Tambling, and Chris Tambling; sister-in-law, Nancy Vondracek; brothers-in-law; Scott Barker, Mike Barker, Patrick Barker, and Jeff Barker; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded by his parents; his father-in-law and mother–in–law Robert and Nancy Barker; and brother-in-law Bill Barker.
A memorial visitation for Terry will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.
Private family inurnment will be held in Round Grove cemetery. As it was Terry’s wish, cremation rites have been accorded.
