Obituary of Robert Ingram

Robert L. Ingram Age 80, of Robinson, IL, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008 at his home. He was born June 5, 1928 in Lake Village, IN, the son of Richard Lee Ingram and Elsie Lee Lewark Ingram. He was a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Local # 705 in Chicago. He was also a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Robinson. Robert married Loretta Lumpp and she preceded him in death. He then married Margie May Allen on May 23, 1981, and she too preceded him in death on July 27, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Carol Battista and Loretta Townsend; and two sisters, Kathryn Austin and Vera Higginbotham. He is survived by four sons, Ron (Karen) Ingram of Summerville, SC, David (Shirley) Ingram of Wilmington, IL, Joseph Ingram of Wilmington, and Richard Brown of Elmhurst, IL; one daughter, Roberta (Jessie) Ahearn of Galesburg, IL; his son-in-law, Arthur Townsend of Chicago; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, June Boger of Minot, ND, Alice Nowotnik of Wauconda, IL, and twin sisters Sara and Shirley; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Robert L. Ingram will be Friday, June 20, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
