William Peter Mahn

Age 61 of Shorewood, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park with his loving children by his side.  William was born on November 4, 1962 in Homer Glen, IL, the son of Herbert and Betty (Veague) Mahn, and was a graduate of Lockport Township High School. He was a dedicated employee for Wunderlich Doors working as a Garage Door Technician.

William was an outdoorsman through and through.  He loved hunting, fishing and gardening.  When he was not outside, you could find him enjoying a sporting event.  Above all, William loved spending time with his sons.

William is survived by his sons, Christopher Mahn, Stephen (Dariela) Mahn, and Ben Mahn; and his nephew, Eddie Stoops; many dear friends also survive,

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald Mahn and John “Jack” Mahn; and sister, Joanne Furbee.

Visitation for William Peter Mahn will be Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 4 - 8 pm at Fred C. Dames Funeral home, 3200 Black (at Essington Rds), Joliet, IL.  Inurnment will be at Bethania Cemetery, Justice, IL at a later date.
