Obituary of Barbara Ann Ferretti
Barbara Ann Ferretti
(nee Fiddes)
Barbara Ann Ferretti, age 90, went to heaven on Thursday, July 25th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 18, 1934, along with her twin brother to Donald and Eleanor Fiddes in Joliet, Illinois. She attended St. Raymond’s grade school, St. Francis Academy, and Joliet Junior College.
Barbara was blessed with exceptional artistic talent, selling her paintings at numerous artisan and craft shows, as well as through private commissions. She found joy in gifting her artwork to friends and family, leaving behind pieces that are cherished by many. Barbara enjoyed traveling with her sister and treasured her time in Peoria with her brother, his nine children, and their large family. However, she was happiest when surrounded by her own children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family meant everything to her, and she had an overwhelming love for all of them.
Barbara is survived by her twin brother, Bruce Fiddes; her sister, Pat (Steve) Natta; her beloved children, Susan (Dave) Shue, Jane Devine, and Mike Ferretti. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Sara and Melissa Senffner, Meghan (Matt) Rafferty, Patrick (Lauryn) Devine, Jennifer (Joe) Bahlmann and Kevin Clark; as well as her great-grandchildren, Nathan, Danny, Jason (Ashley), Jarred, Jayden, Lyla, Gavin, Parker and Drayden. Numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends will remember her fondly. Additionally, she is survived by Stacey Lovstad, whom she loved like a daughter and who lovingly helped care for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Michael Senffner; her daughter-in-law, Dawn Clark; and her sister-in-law, Phyllis Fiddes.
A special thank you to Lightways Hospice and the 2nd floor staff at Alden Estates for the excellent and compassionate care.
