James Paul Fergelec
James Paul Fergelec, passed away peacefully at his home in Morris, IL, on Friday, August 2, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Jim was born in Chicago, IL, on May 3, 1947, the son of the late Paul and Anna (nee Telgarski) Fergelec. He was a graduate of Prosser High School. Jim started his own construction and demolition company, J.F. Hauling Co., when he was just 18 years old and worked every day for over 50 years. He was a natural when it came to sports and an avid dog lover. His happy place was in the Florida Keys on a boat with his family.
Jim is survived by his children, Mark (Bonnie) Fergelec, Stacey Fergelec, and Michelle Fergelec; grandchildren, Matthew (Delaney), Ariana, James, Greyson, and Cooper Fergelec, Jacob and Cailey Fantin, Milania Fergelec and Aubrey Kline; great granddaughter Chleo Fergelec; and sister Marilyn Kaluzny, nephew Michael Kaluzny, and nieces Sandy Greco and Debbie Kaluzny.
He is preceded by his wife, Donna Lea Fergelec; his parents, Paul and Anna; brother, Raymond Fergelec; and sister, Nancy Hooks.
A Memorial Gathering for James Paul Fergelec will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded.
