Obituary of Norma J. Tordai

Born: July 23, 1928

Died: August 21, 2024

Passed away peacefully at her home. Norma’s 96-year journey began in Rockdale with her parents, Michael and Leola (nee Attaway) Breen and sisters, Rita (7/13/1933) and Vivian (2/6/2002).  They moved to a family farm in Elwood where she learned gardening, canning, cooking, and sewing. This continued as she met her husband of 42 years, Michael G. Tordai (6/30/1993).  Together they raised four children -  Michael, Patrick (2/19/2024), Kathleen Tordai, and Virginia Phillips. 

Norma was grandma to Rodney and Jeff Tordai and Maxx (1/19/2020) and Dusty Phillips. Great-grandmother to Chase and Ella Tordai.

Visitation for Norma J. Tordai will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Joliet Lightways Hospice would be appreciated.
