Frances L. Bales
Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Frances L. Bales went to rest on July 4, 2009 with her family by her side. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, and served for many years as secretary of the Church's Couples Club. A past president of the Lady Lions. Frances retired after 25 years of service from the Marshall Fields children's department.
She is survived by her children Nancy (Robert) Connor and Ronald (Donna) Bales; grandchildren James Bales, Gerald "Jeep" Bales, Andrea (Vince) Corbin, Adam (Stacy) Bales, Ammie (Mike) Trvers, Catherine (Joseph) Koenig, Justin (Julie) Parnell, Kellien (Todd) Bailey, Christine Bales, Jason Bales, and Jennifer (John) Moats; 27 great-grandchildren; sister Louolive (the late Kenneth) Snyder; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded by her husband, Farris Bales; her parents, Charles and Margarett Leever; son, Gerald Bales; and grandson, Joseph "Joei" Bales.
Funeral services for Frances L. Bales will be Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in her name to the Guardian Angel's Home would be appreciated. Visitation, Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. at:
