Obituary of Catherine Jackson

Jackson, Catherine Ann "Cathi" (nee Gardner) Age 50. Monday, October 31, 2011 at her late residence in Putnam, IL following a long battle with cancer. Born in Joliet, formerly of St. Clair Shores, MI, she resided in Putnam for the past five years. Cathi was an advocate for the American Cancer Society. She also loved nature and had a giving spirit, she would open her home to anyone or anything. Surviving are her loving husband of four years, Bret E. Jackson of Putnam; three daughters, Tara (Josh) Traughber of Henry, IL, Krystal Gardner (her caregiver) of Putnam, and Angelina Salazar of Putnam; one son, Timothy (fiancee Jaclyn) Salazar of Crest Hill; three grandchildren, Taylor, Faith and Trace, and expecting baby Delilah this month; her father, Ronald (Janet) Gardner of Florida; her mother, Judith (Jim) Ellenburg of Michigan; her sister, Sally Zawicki of Michigan; her brother, Timothy (Lori) Gardner of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one brother, Brian Gardner; her aunt, Sr. Catherine Lukanich. Funeral Services for Cathi Jackson will be Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
