Obituary of Francis John Muto, Jr.
Francis “Frank” J. Muto, Jr.
Age 67 of Romeoville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. Frank was born in Oak Park, IL on August 2, 1957, the son of the late Francis J., Sr. and Marilyn I. (nee Loveland) Muto. He was raised in Cicero, IL with his younger siblings, sister Denise and brother Carmen. He graduated from Morton East High School with the class of 1975. He enjoyed playing football throughout high school. After graduation, he attended Northwestern University for two years.
Frank worked for Mavis Tires and Brakes in Joliet for the last couple of years, where he was the manager. Frank also had a passion and talent for music, playing the drums. He frequently played with his friends.
Frank is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda Muto of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, and his brother, Carmen Muto of Joliet, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Denise Duffy.
At Frank’s request, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL at a later date.
