Susan Marciniak

(nee Sterling)

Susan Marciniak (nee Sterling)   Age 64, of Joliet, Illinois; went to be with Jesus, surrounded by family, Sunday morning, September 29, 2024, at Lightways Hospice Home.

Sue was born January 26, 1960, to the late Barbara and Theodore Sterling in Joliet where she was raised and educated, a graduate of Joliet East High School.

She is the beloved wife of Larry Marciniak; devoted mother of Amy (Jason) Olivero, Justin Newcomb, Shayna (Joshua) Adams, Ashley Newcomb, Emily McGuire, Breanna Marciniak, and her bonus daughter, Shawanda Barga; proud "Nana" of 16. Sue is also survived by her brother, Steven Sterling; sister, Cary (John) Teska; sister-in-law, Judy (late Rich) Kabella and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Theodore Sterling; grandson, Dylan Olivero; mother and father-in-law, Irene and Mitch "Matt" Marciniak.

Sue enjoyed life. She was a woman of many talents and hobbies and loved taking trips to Lake Geneva with her husband, and adventures to the beaches of Michigan and Florida where she would spend hours searching for beach glass, shells, and boutiques in the small beach towns. One of the many things that kept her busy was her garden which was always overflowing with the most vibrant plants and flowers and her pond which was always filled with frogs & fish.

Most of all her truest form of happiness was being the best wife, an extraordinary mother, a wonderful sister, an amazing nana, and a good friend.

She will truly be missed.

“My bride, my wife, my pal, my partner, my love. Thank you God….a billion girls and you put us together. I’ll Love You Forever Susie.” -Larry
