Obituary of Dennis A. Ferrantino
Dennis A. Ferrantino, age 87, of Morris, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at Morris Hospital.
Born April 22, 1937 in Chicago, he was the son of Joseph and Mae E. (Nolting) Ferrantino. He was a graduate of St. John Lutheran Grade School in LaGrange, Lyons Township High School, and later received his Bachelor’s degree and two Master’s degrees from the University of Chicago. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Dennis worked a short time as a teacher in Freeport, IL prior to beginning a long and rewarding career as an executive with the A. C. Nielsen Company.
He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and for his love of golf and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend, Gail A (Douglass) Ferrantino (July 17, 2011); his parents, Joe and Mae; and a brother, Joseph (Barbara) Ferrantino.
He is survived by his sister, Joyce (Donald) Ferrantino-Karlen of Wausau, WI; two nephews, Michael Ferrantino and Brett Ferrantino; a niece, Rachel Ward; and his close companion, Pamela Hanson.
Cremation rites have been accorded and services will be private. Interment in Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Westchester, will be at a later date.
