Obituary of Mary Janes

Mary Ann Janes (nee Orlovich) "Teta" Age 73. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet, she was a life long Rockdale/Joliet area resident. A graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1955. Retired from Illinois Bell Telephone Company after over 43 years of service. Member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Mary Orlovich; her husband, Tony Janes (1984); stepson, Tony Janes, Jr. (2009). Survived by one sister, Michaelene (Bud) Vicich of Rockdale; one nephew, Michael (Carrie) Vicich of Joliet; one niece, Ann Marie (Tom) Dakin of New Lenox; one precious great-niece, Jessica Dakin who was the world to "Teta"; stepson, Dave (Jean) Janes of LaGrange; stepdaughter, Barbara (late Cleeve) Bretherton of San Diego, CA; and two stepgrandsons, Justin and Nicholas. As it was Mary Ann's request, private funeral services were held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 with Fr. Savo Cakardic officiating. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Private visitation. Arrangements by: FRED C.
