Frank L. Jankowski
Age 86. Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, FL. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident before retiring in 1989. A WWII U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran. Retired from Olin Chemical as a millwright, after over 34 years of service. A life member of Cantigny Post VFW #367.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Veronica Jankowski; four brothers, two in infancy and Stanley "Stash" Jankowski and Edward "Stump" Jankowski.
Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Josephine (nee Delrose) Jankowski of Largo, FL; two daughters, Leanne (Rolland) Mudron and Joanne (Robert) Bailey both of Joliet; his "adopted son", Tony (Therese) Marino of Joliet; seven grandchildren, Mark (Karen) Mudron, Molly (Daniel) Loftus, Michelle (Frank) Madura, Meghann (Hugh) O'Hara, Patrick (Kimberley) Bailey, Greta (Todd) Erbs and Rob (Kellie) Bailey; his "adopted grandchildren", Anthony, Emily and Annie Marino; 14 great-grandchildren, Alex, Emily and Natalie Erbs; Aaron Madura; Drew, Jack, Will, Thomas, Abbey, Alyssa and Adam Bailey; Finnea and Mimi Loftus; and Rauri O'Hara; one brother, Tony Jankowski of Lockport, IL; two sisters, Jane Christensen of Gardner, IL and Agnes (Robert) Dobczyk of Joliet; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends, Toni and Ed Jarema of Largo, FL also survive.
Funeral Services for Frank L. Jankowski will be Monday, June 2, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Bernard Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Hospice House Woodside, 6770 102nd Avenue N., Pinellas Park, FL 33782 would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday 2-6 p.m. at:
