Obituary of Ronald Johnson

Johnson, Ronald N. Age 74, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2011 at home in Joliet with family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Moninne (McNichols), and his beloved children and grandchildren: daughter Andrea (Ron) Gancarczyk, and their children Jacob (Carrie), Shawn, Troy, Megan, Trent; daughter Patty (Doug) McCoy and their children Nina, Andrew, Haley; daughter Sally (Tom) Crane, and their children Tyler, Steve, Shannon, Sara; son Tom (Christina) and their children Braden, Lily; son Scott (Jan) of Solon, IA, and their children Reagan, Allegra, Ian; son Greg (Christa) and their children Devyn, Kellyn; son Tim (Ruby) and their children Piper, Trace, Carter, Finley, Scout, H. Bear. His sister Judi (Dick) Russell, brother Bob (Susan) Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his infant daughter Stephanie; parents, Norman H. and Virginia (Keith) Johnson. A businessman and banker at Orland State Bank for 41 years, Ron traveled extensively, golfed worldwide, but in his own words believed "there's no place like home." In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Jude School, 2204 McDonough St, Joliet or Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet. Private funeral services and internment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be Friday, March 11, from 2-8 p.m. at FRED C.
