Obituary of Merrily Kane

Merrily A. Kane (nee Barnes) Age 68. Peacefully Thursday, November 4, 2010 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Joliet, and a lifelong resident. Merrily was a graduate of St. John's Grade School, St. Francis Academy High School, the College of St. Francis and Tulane University. She received her Masters in Social Work, which she practiced until starting her full-time career and cherished job as a Mother. Survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Thomas R. Kane, D.D.S. of Joliet. Beloved Mother of eight children, Sarah (James) Kuehl, Mary (Shamus) Mudron, Joe, Tom, Erin, Sheila, Maureen, and Kathleen Kane; adored Nana to seven grandchildren, Ceselie, Kayla, Emma, and Madeline Mudron, and Jake, Paige, and Grace Kuehl; devoted Sister of Terry (Janet) Barnes, dear Sister-in-law of John (Ann) Kane, Robert M. Kane, D.D.S., and MaryCele (Jim) Doyle; precious Niece of Ibby Elberts; wonderful Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews; and a treasured best friend. Preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Amy (nee Brinskelle) Barnes. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the physicians, nurses, and staff who helped her and to all family and friends for their love and support along the way. Funeral Services for Merrily A. Kane will be Monday, November 8, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery.
