Obituary of Patricia Karbel

Karbel, Patricia A. (nee Haggerty) Age 80, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Survived by her husband Harry J. Karbel; three daughters, Jean M. (Gabriel) Carreno, Laura L. Karbel and Tina J. Karbel all of Joliet; three grandchildren, Jayme L. and Jill M. Slucki and Max Carreno; one sister, Marilyn Haggerty of Ormond Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by Darth Vader, her dog. Preceded in death by her daughter, Michael Ann Karbel; mother, Marie Haggerty, brother Martin Haggerty and two sisters, Jean Woodall and Kathleen Witry. Patricia enjoyed knitting and embroidery. The Karbel family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice Home for their kindness and compassion shown Patricia throughout her stay. As it was Patricia's request, cremation rites will be accorded and services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice home would be appreciated.
