Obituary of William Bandosz

William J. Bandosz "Bill" Age 79, of Joliet, died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at his home after a courageuos battle with cancer. He will be met in Heaven by his loving wife, Helen Ann who died June 15, 2009. Born May 4, 1930, the only child of the late Joseph and Eve Bandosz, Bill was a lifelong Joliet resident, who retired from Commonwealth Edison after many years as a Welder. He was also a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran. He was the beloved father of Mary (Bandosz) Wirth, his only daughter, and father in law of Joseph Wirth, who stood by Bill's side until his final moment. Devoted grandfather of Scott Wilson. Numerous cousins, wonderful friends and neighbors surrounded him, and he will be greatly missed. A special Thank You, goes out to Linda, a caretaker, from Christian Angel Network. You treated my father with such compassion and dignity in his final days. We admire the work you do and are grateful to have met you. A Memorial Service for William J. Bandosz will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2009, 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
