Obituary of Mary Keenan

Mary L. Keenan (nee Delaney) Age 78, late of Bethlehem Woods in LaGrange Park and formerly of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. Born February 16, 1930 in Alton, IL. to the late Henry and Loretta (nee Dashley) Delaney, she was a long time Joliet area resident. Mary, a Registered Nurse, retired after more than 30 years of service from Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center where she was also a Night Supervisor. Survived by her children, Michael Keenan, Mary (William) Napleton and Patrick Keenan; grandchildren, Colleen, Chris and Chad Keenan; Bridget, Maureen, Lizzie, Lauren and Mary Kate Napleton; one sister, Dorothy (late Don) Carlton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joseph Delaney and her former husband, James Howard Keenan. Mary was a dignified woman of faith and great resolve. She enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mary L. Keenan will be Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
