Lucille H. Kelly
(nee Hendricks)
Age 100. Passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Rosewood Care Center. Born October 4, 1909 in Fithian, IL to the late Gus and Effie (Alsip) Hendricks, she had resided in Joliet since 1938.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Patricia Kelly of Florida; six grandchildren, Catherine (Rick) Webster of Morris, Robert (Nancy) Niznik of Florida, David (Chris) Kelly, Mary, William and Nancy Kelly all of Florida; dear great-grandmother of Christy (Rick) Close, Ryan Webster, Blake Kelly, Shannon Kelly, Andrew Niznik, Kailei Champoux and Jennifer Register; fond great-great-grandmother of several, including Calen Close.
Preceded in death by her husband, John J. Kelly (1963); daughter, Dorothy Slack and son, John A. Kelly; two sisters, Amelia Slagle and Bessie Hendricks; one brother, Ralph Hendricks.
Lucille enjoyed being a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, Council #382, volunteering several years ago at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center and belonging to the Paulites of St. Paul Catholic Church, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was also proud of being independent until her final days.
Funeral Services for Lucille H. Kelly will be Saturday, May 22, 2010 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Avenue, Joliet with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Saturday morning at the church from 8:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Arrangements by:
