Charles Albert Phillips, III
"Chuck"
Age 54, of Plainfield, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center emergency room from head trauma sustained when he was struck by a car.
Chuck was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked for First Student Transportation. He was previously employed by the University of St. Francis and Knights Autobody.
He was a fan of Elvis Presley and had a passion for old cars and animals. He will be remembered as a devoted uncle and faithful friend who would do anything for his family and friends. He also had a great sense of humor and was a gifted storyteller.
Surviving are his mother, Maureen (Donahue) Phillips of Plainfield; his brothers and sisters, Susan (John) Cotellesse, Mark (Darcy) Phillips, LeAnn (Daniel) Erhart, David (Andrea) Phillips, and Kara Phillips; and his nieces and nephews, Sharena (Neil) Payne, James (Hiromi) Cotellesse, J.D. Barto, Tyler Erhart, Elise Erhart, Alex Phillips and Donovan Phillips; and one great-niece, Delilah Payne.

Funeral Services for Chuck Phillips will be Friday, December 13, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
