Obituary of Dawn Parrilli

Dawn K. Parrilli (nee Demetral) Age 57. At rest Sunday, August 31, 2014 at her late residence following a second courageous battle with cancer. Born in Evergreen Park to George and the late Shirley Demetral, residing in Joliet the past 18 years. Graduate of Carl Sandberg High School, Class of 1975 and received her Associates Degree from Morraine Valley Community College. Retired from AT&T in 2011. Dawn loved gardening and especially taking care of her yard. She took great pride in being a homemaker and although she had no children of her own, she thoroughly enjoyed being a surrogate mother to her nieces and nephews. Survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Andy "Butch" Parrilli of Joliet; her father, George of Ft. Madison, IA; brother, Dr. David (Kathy) Demetral of Stockton, CA; two sisters, Ann (Bill) Ferrell of Barstow, CA and Dale (late Tim) Lesher of Wever, IA; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces. A Memorial Mass for Dawn K. Parrilli will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough St., Joliet.
