My love, Michael, the day before yesterday was 33 years since you got the most precious gift you ever received - a heart transplant on 1/6/90. I can still recall every minute of that day. That beautiful heart (thank you to Daniel’s family in Wisconsin) served you well for 27 years. You got to see our sons grow up into the wonderful, successful men they are today. And most importantly, you saw our grandchildren born and start growing up. They adored you as much as you adored them. We look at photos and remember all the laughs and fun we had together. We all miss you every second of every day. I miss you more than words could ever say. Until we meet again, sweetheart, rest easy. I love you always and forever. Your devoted and loving wife, Ann xxxxxxx

Our wedding day - September 8, 1973. We’d had a wonderful day and were getting ready to leave the reception when the photographer decided to snap this photo. We were deliriously happy for the next 43-1/2 years. My tall, dark, handsome husband who lived for his family. I love and miss you so very much, Michael. When it’s my time, please be waiting at the bottom of heaven’s stairs to lead me into eternity with you.
