Pete and Family, I am very sorry about Jan's passing. I hadn't seen her since your brother Jack's burial, but I always thought she was a very sweet and loving person. May she rest in peace and may you remember all the good memories . Love Pat White

Just a few more thoughts on my one year older sister, I have so many good memories with Janice growing up on the farm, playing in the playhouse dad built and creating our playrooms in the grove. Also our pet, Oscar the pig, which followed us everywhere. I always wanted to wear her clothes, which made her upset, to say the least. Janice was the pie baker in the family, We were best friends in high school and also were roomies in Mpls, I could go on and on. So many good memories. I will truly miss you.

Although I only knew Mrs. Donovan for a little over 8 years, she had a very large impact on my life. She was such a caring, warm and thoughtful person and for me, personally, an absolutely fantastic Mother-in-Law. I wish I had had a chance to have known her longer, because there is no doubt in my mind I would have been able to see other remarkable facets to her personality. Mrs. Donovan in many ways reminded me of my own mother. She was the centerpiece at all family gatherings, making sure everyone was served and had everything they wanted. She and my mother even prepared a remarkable number of the same foods for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, along with rolls and gravy were present at my holiday table growing up, and after I meet Anne and became part of the Donovan clan, I realized I was going to fit right in - in fact, my transition was absolutely seamless, in large part due to Mrs. Donovan.
Thank you very much for making me always feel so welcome and a true member of the family. You and Pete accepted this nervous guy from the northern suburbs of Chicago with open arms, and for that I will always be extremely grateful.
Mrs. Donovan, may you rest in eternal peace and never miss the sight of a magnificent lighthouse.
