Ronald Joseph Franciskovich
"Ron"
Age 66. Suddenly Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at his late residence. Born in Joliet and a lifelong area resident. Retired from Ruettiger, Tonelli and Associates as Senior Project Manager on January 23, 2008, following nine and a half years of service. Former Village Engineer for the Village of New Lenox. Ron received his Civil Engineering degree from Marquette University. Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Past President of New Lenox Lions Club, and the American Society of Civil Engineers. A graduate of Joliet Catholic High School Class of 1960. He was an avid golfer, working part-time at Broken Arrow Golf Club in Lockport.
Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years, Bonnie (nee Ruettiger) Franciskovich of New Lenox; three children, Scott (fiancee Colleen Schmidt) Franciskovich of Joliet, Jeff (Michelle) Franciskovich of Zionsville, IN and Kurt Franciskovich of Summerville, S.C.; six grandchildren, Mandy, Tim, Matthew, Maddie, Marielle and Macey Franciskovich; his mother, Virginia Franciskovich of Joliet; two brothers, Mike (Jeri) Franciskovich of Joliet and Dennis (Cheryl) Franciskovich of Savage, MN; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his father, Mike Franciskovich.
Funeral Services for Ronald J. Franciskovich will be Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Bernard Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to St. Bernard Catholic Church would be appreciated. Visitation Friday 3-7 p.m. at:
