I met Virgil when my daughter became friends with his granddaughter Khloe in Kindergarten. Every time I saw him he had a smile on his face. At the bus stop when he picked up Khloe sometimes would light up with love when Khloe got off. He included my daughter in some of there outings and even had her come play with Khloe at his home. I could always see the love in his eyes and face watching his grandkids at some of the family parties I have been too the last couple years. He was truly a special man and I am glad to have met him. My heart goes out to his family during this tough time.

Virgil was the greatest! There was never a conversation that either started or ended with a joke. He sure knew how to make us smile. One of my favorite memories was when Virgil was visiting us and was entertaining our kids...not only did he always talk in a Donald Duck voice...he taught my kids to "pull his finger". Only a Horn guy could get a way with that!!
We will always love and remember Virgil!!!

One of my favorite memories of uncle Virgil is when we asked him to be our best man at our wedding. He got a look of glee in his eyes and of course he said yes! Looking back it was the best choice we could have made and we will always have a special thought of uncle Virgil every wedding anniversary.
We love you and Aunt Pat FOREVER!

You were so loved uncle Virgil! I grew up with you by my side. Teaching me how to whistle with a blade of grass, talking like Donald Duck, and always telling jokes! You used to call me sticks because I was so skinny back then. You and auntie Pat used to watch my kids and treated them like your own grandkids and I was so thankful for that! I have way to memories to write but you know them all! I will miss you forever but you are now at peace and in no pain and for that I am grateful as well. Rest In Peace my dear uncle and have a blast up there with your family! Auntie Pat and your whole family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Until we meet again XOXO. Kim

Uncle Virgil has been part of our family before I was even born. His nickname for me was always Renae! Til this day I don’t know why he stuck with that name. He always told jokes that made me laugh. He was a jokester. He loved to make people laugh. I have so many memories. He loved my family as if we were his own. At parties my husband and uncle Virgil would play bags and beat their competition. I am grateful for all the memories. Thank you uncle Virgil for all that you did. You are truly an amazing person. God has gained an angel. We love you.

Virgil, has known me since I was born as his kids gre up with my mother. He always treated me as one of the grandkids with open arms even if I didnt deserve it. He never missed a moment to talk to me to see how I was doing and always helped guide me through life when things may have been difficult at the time. I'll never forget the happiness and warmth he brought into a room when he would walk in or when we would visit. We all lost a great man that could never be replaced. I will always miss those moments and look for you for guidance when things get rough.

I am 50 yrs old now and knew Virgil ever since I was a teenager. He has ALWAYS been good to me and always shown me respect. He is a GREAT MAN and I will miss him dearly. In life there are good and bad things. He was the good in my life and now that piece is gone. I know God welcomes him in heaven. I wish I could have seen him one last time. Good bye my friend.
