I just want to say goodbye to a great person . I have only known you since moving to Heritage woods in Minooka, but I feel like I've known you forever. You are a great person. I always enjoyed our Crest Hill talks. Where we lived, who we knew etc.
I enjoyed how you just lit up when speaking of Norm and your beautiful family. I loved when little
Miller would visit us.
Rest in peace my friend, beautiful on the outside and on the inside. We will talk later.

Mel and I are so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed talking with both your mom and Norm. They were both great people to be around. Minooka is a sadder place without them both today.

We are saddened by the passing of such a special person and friend. Kay's warmth and kindness was amazing. Seems like not too long ago we were able to enjoy Kay's and Norm's company at Cookies. Both are truely missed. May their memories be eternal.

Kay was a very special lady. Always one to share a warm smile or make us laugh with a story... she will be greatly missed.

From my days as a newly arrived teenager in Minooka to the last time I saw Kay at Cookies, "Mrs. Miller" was always, always so kind and considerate to me. She was to me a thoughtful listener; when she said How are you doing, I thought she really wanted to know. I thought - and still do - so highly of her four kids and have been lucky to call Bruce a good friend. When my son got to play ball with Cole Tyrell, I thought - of course. Millers are a great baseball family. Here comes another! But forgetting baseball, I mostly think of how she (and Norm) created a great, loving family, period. One that cared about their community and welcomed an outsider in.
So our best wishes to all. May 2021 bring peace and renewal.

Bruce, Cheryl, Kurt, and Sarah,
Our Deepest Sympathy to all of you.
The memory that will be remembered most is Kay’s
Facial expression when she saw the kiddie pool in her garage the night
Before Norm’s retirement party . It was always nice visiting with her at TriCounty Bank.
We hope all our families are enjoying a huge party in heaven!

Kay was a beautiful person. She always made people feel comfortable when she was around. I first met her when I started working at the bank. She was kind, thoughtful, caring, funny, and would help you out if she could. We've lost a beautiful person. Our condolences to her family. The only thing I picture is that she and Norm are together again.

My husband Mick and I so enjoyed our visits with Kay and Norm at Cookies just about every weekend! Baseball of course was a big subject. Such a loving, friendly couple who was admired by all they touched! I'm sure that your Mom and Dad are together toasting the new year and sending all their love to their awesome family and friends! Please know I'll be sending a donation to St. Mary's in loving memory of both of them. Love and prayers to all of you
Lori Ryan and Mick too!

I cannot be as eloquent as Mike Mattingly, and we arrived in Minooka later than he, but love his comments about what a kind and generous and quiet soul Kay was. I see many similarities between Kay and my mom (Jarlath Mullen) so no wonder they were friends. Both were very quiet but very sharp. They were both peace-loving unless you bothered someone in their family, then "mama bear" would come out. Bruce (my age group), someone told me when mom died, it didn't matter your age, when you lose mom, it hurts. I know this to be true. But know that your mom lived a full life. She was a great role model to all of us on how that should be done. I hope your entire family can find peace.

With heavy heart I add my condolences to the tribute to Kathryn L. Miller. Mrs. Miller loomed large in my upbringing,
from haircuts in her basement, rides to swimming lessons and ball games, to the great cub/cardinal rivalry Mrs. Miller was there at each stage of my growing up. From her husband, Norm, and each of her talented yet humble children my memories are overflowing with good times playing baseball in the lot next to the Miller home. Playing games in the Miller basement and backyard. Eating pizza at the Keg, playing baseball and other sports whenever possible. buying pop from Mrs. Miller and the other mothers after little league games, eating ice cream at straightway dairy. she let us be kids and helped us grow up. She will be missed and her positive attitude will be hard to replace. I take solace that she has joined Norm and the Minooka Gang at her next stop and that there is a big picnic in LJ's backyard to celebrate her arrival.
