Burdette was my best friend from school and our neighborhood. Thanks for the memories. Loved you. We always hung out at Burdette's house and his mom, Mary, was the best cook and I loved her too!

When I was a kid my brother and I would love to go to our uncle Burdette's. He was cool because he had this trap door basement that had a pool table, large bar, a phone booth and a big screen TV. I have to admit as an adolescent boy we also enjoyed an occasional look at my uncles Playboy magazine collection. But beyond this, Burdette was kind and caring to my brother and I. I remember Christmas gift exchange and we always got cool presents from my aunt Claudia and Burdette. I worked with Burdette on several big jobs and that was fun too. I will miss his humor and greatness as a human. Sorry to have to say goodbye, he has a wonderful family. Good bye for now, until we meet again, Scott Caretto

We are so sorry to hear of Burdettes passing. We want you to know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers! My husband had so much respect for him as they knew each other in the business world. He spoke so highly of him. He will be greatly missed. Harry was upset he could not make it to the wake, but he has been out of town.
Sincerely,
Harry and Gayle Quinlan

Burdette was always our go to for advice, help or just the right tool. I don’t remember ever seeing Burdette unhappy or without a project in progress. We will miss our friendly competition for who’s garden would produce the first ripe tomato. He was always willing to stop and chat giving us the scoop on what was going on in Shorewood and the surrounding area. We will miss his smile and gentle kind nature. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who knew Burdette he was certainly memorable.
