James Walker Stebbins

 "Jimmie"

Jimmie Stebbins, age 70, of Morris, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at The Gardens at Park Pointe in Morris.

 He was born November 4, 1951 in Ottawa, IL to Norma Jean (Walker) and the late James Stebbins.

 In addition to his beloved and devoted mother, he is also survived by his brother, Jerald Stebbins and sister, Jan (Jim) Hedenschoug; nephew and buddy, Josiah, nephew, Bobby and nieces, Sarah, Karen, Lauren and Jenna.

 He is preceded in death by his father James, and sister, Julie Falat. Jimmie was a huge fan of the Cubs and Bulls. He loved watching the Bulls games especially when Michael Jordan was playing.

He always had a smile on his face. A kind soul, he wanted everyone he met to be his friend. He thought of his brother-in-law, Jim Hedenschoug as the best friend he ever had.

 Jimmie was the best helper anyone could ever have and he always loved to lend a hand. He loved to play games and took great pleasure in winning.

 Jimmie’s family will always remember the kindness and wonderful care he received from the doctors, nurses and staff at Morris Hospital as well as the staff at the Gardens at Park Pointe. Additionally, the Stebbins family would like to thank the staff and residents at the Gardens for giving Jimmie the best time he ever had.

 Visitation will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 1:30 p.m. until time of funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris. Interment at Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles will be private.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jimmie’s name can be made to the Activities Department at the Gardens at Park Pointe, 1550 DuPont Ave., Morris, IL 60450.
