Joan was a very special soul. Even though I wasn't able to know her for a long time I will always treasure going to Sunny Hill and visiting my grandma Joan and her partner in crime Joan Colombo. The "Joan's" were often times together and made a great friendship. From bringing them snacks, KFC, or playing kings in the corner I always had a good time chatting with Joan and always felt cared about by her. She always kept my grandma in line, reminded her of things, forced her to go places and was a really great friend. I know my grandma will miss her dear friend and I will never forget how much I feel Joan helped my grandma. Her warm and infectious smile and witty comments will be deeply missed.
