Obituary of Joan A. Colombo
Joan A. Colombo, age 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16th, 2024 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet. Joan was born on November 11th, 1943, in Joliet, IL. Joan was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rita Muhich. Joan was kind, friendly and very sociable which is why she enjoyed being an Avon Sales Representative for over 30 years. She also had a passion for bowling in the Early Bird League at Town n Country in Joliet. Overall her greatest love was her family, she treasured her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her two daughters, Tina Brookman and Lisa (Donnie) Lutz; three grandchildren, Brandon Burzawa, Stephanie (Lucas) Dedetsinas and Emily Ringo; and her two great-grandchildren, Landon and Bristol.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Robert A. Colombo; and her parents.
Visitation for Joan A. Colombo will be Monday, September 23rd, 2024 from 3-7pm at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (At Essington) Joliet, IL. Funeral Services will be the following morning, Tuesday, September 24th, 2024, starting at the funeral home chapel at 9:15 am and then proceeding to Queen of Apostles Catholic Church (formerly St. Paul) for Mass of Catholic Burial at 10:00 am. Entombment at Woodlawn Mausoleum.
