My condolences to the family if Lyn. I was unaware that Bob had also passed away in 2015. He worked for me at Western Electric/Lucnt Technologies in Lisle. I can remember Bob speaking fondly of Lyn during that time. I am sure both will be fondly missed. Once again, my sincere sympathy for your loss.

I knew Lyn through her contributions as poster artist for the Shorewood Glen Entertainers' Broadway Revues. For each show, Lyn's posters graced the walls on both wings of the stage. I also knew Lyn as a member of DAR and was thrilled when she asked me to help judge the club's 2024 national poster contest celebrating the constitution. As it turned out, the poster we four judges selected sitting at Lyn's dining room table won the national prize. What a lovely human she was. Thank you, Lyn.

Lyn Freebus was a wonderful friend and neighbor to us in Shorewood Glen.
We were blessed to have her as a member of our musical group.
She shared her artistic talents many times for many events. Most notably she made our Broadway Revue Marquee, which hung above the entry doors to the Shorewood Glen Theater during those events. Lyn also created over 30 posters for the Broadway musicals from which the songs were taken for our Revues.
Please see our memorial photo collage we created for Lyn. An electronic version is attached elsewhere in this memorial on the Dames website.

Sending heartfelt condolences andmany prayers to all who love Lyn, she was a great friend to many. She so selflessly gave of her time to others, always willing to lend a friendly ear and give helpful advise. She was witty and funny and I feel blessed to have known her through the DAR. It was fun having her as an associate member of the Letitia Green Stevenson Chapter here in Bloomington, Illinois. I'm so grateful that she and Cyndi Valencia traveled together to attend our America 250! marker dedication on September 21 and I got to spend some time with them. She will be greatly missed, and long remembered as a good friend to many. May God grant her family & friends and DAR chapter with many happy memories.

My deepest condolences to Lyn's family. She will be greatly missed for her kindness, her sense of humor and her creativity with centerpieces and wreaths. Just last week she was excited about her new Styrofoam cutter to help her create centerpieces! As a DAR State Chairman she was always efficient, well spoken and knowledgeable. She was deeply committed to working with and for veterans. Her friendship was a special blessing.

To Lyn's Family, my heart is heavy as I remember your beautiful Mom and all that she meant to me, our DAR Chapter, and Star. She was always just a phone call away to chat and offer her guidance, support, creativity, and advice. She was a most dependable friend, a kind, caring, giving soul, and I will miss her dearly. Please accept my deepest condolences on your family's profound loss. She was a true jewel.
